The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich asked me to write a guest blog for them, because of my poem John’s Curious Machines. They currently have an exhibition running called Ships, Clocks and Stars, which tells the story of John Harrison and his chronometers – among a lot of other history about the search for longitude. They also have all five of John’s clocks on display: a rare event. If you can, do get along to Greenwich to have a look at them. It’s on until January.
